HandBraid Reports Strong Opening Day at the 138th Canton Fair
HandBraid marked a strong start to the 138th Canton Fair, welcoming more than 100 new and returning visitors to its booth on the first day. Traffic remained steady from morning through late afternoon, with buyers showing keen interest in the company’s eco-friendly, handcrafted beach bag collections.

Most visitors came from Europe and Belt and Road markets. European buyers, in particular, expressed clear preference for natural-material beach bags made with paper rope, raffia, and seagrass. Several European customers reached on-site intention agreements for upcoming seasonal programs, citing HandBraid’s blend of sustainable materials, refined handcraft, and retail-ready design as key reasons for their decisions.
During product demonstrations, buyers emphasized three priorities: responsible material stories, visible craftsmanship, and everyday functionality. HandBraid’s team showcased crochet and woven constructions, handle reinforcements, and lightweight yet durable structures suited to travel, resort, and daily use. Visitors also reviewed color options and silhouettes—ranging from round and half-moon shapes to striped totes—and discussed capsule assortments for spring–summer windows.

In addition to core styles, buyers showed interest in customizable elements such as color palettes, sizing, trims, and branding options. The team outlined typical MOQs, sampling steps, and delivery schedules to help partners move quickly from concept to confirmed orders. Questions on eco-optimized packaging and documentation to support sustainability claims were addressed at the booth.
The overall tone on the opening day was positive and pragmatic. Buyers sought differentiated products that tell a credible sustainability story while meeting commercial requirements for comfort, weight, and durability. HandBraid’s long focus on natural materials and handcraft techniques—combined with practical features like reinforced handles, organized interiors, and versatile strap lengths—resonated with this demand.
“We are encouraged by the quality of conversations on day one,” Serena Chen said. “Visitors are looking for beach bags that are beautiful, responsibly made, and ready for everyday life. The first-day feedback confirms we are aligned with market expectations.”

Looking ahead, HandBraid will maintain the same level of attentive service throughout the fair. The team plans to continue hands-on material demonstrations, present buildable capsule assortments tailored to regional preferences, and co-create private-label solutions with interested buyers. Additional meetings have been scheduled with partners from Europe and Belt and Road regions to refine selections, confirm timelines, and finalize next steps.
HandBraid remains committed to welcoming every visitor with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing clear product information, prompt follow-up, and flexible collaboration models. As the fair progresses, the company aims to deepen partnerships and convert opening-day momentum into concrete programs for the coming season.
